Project Overview:

Mining and Metals: 

Increasing production of critical minerals provides key components of clean energy technologies, from wind turbines to batteries. This shift to clean energy—and the need for commodities—is critical to underpinning the energy transition. At Bechtel, our teams extract these vital resources to support net zero in a way which is more sustainable than ever before.  

Job Summary:

This role, will lead a team and supervise superintendents and/or craft professionals on a project. Directing craft professional activities and work schedules, and coordinating subcontract work activities and team development. This oversight will ensure craft professionals have the tools required to be productive, comply with project policies, procedures, and job site work rules and procedures, and perform within specifications, schedules and budgets. In this role, you will lead a team and supervise superintendents and/or craft professionals direct or subcontractors on a project. Under this supervision are the Demolition Subcontractors and the waste areas, including the traffic and logistics.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Supervising and directs craft activities, subordinate superintendents, and others, as assigned.  
  • Scheduling work to be performed and reviews work accomplished by each craft. 
  • Determining workforce requirements. 
  • Coordinating established area operational plans.  
  • Overseeing tool and equipment usage on the site.  
  • Managing the preparation of Field Material Requisitions for tools and consumables and ensures that the craft professionals have the tools they require to be productive.  
  • Ensuring the most current design document is used to complete the work and that all design changes are approved prior to implementation.  
  • Ensuring assigned construction operations and subcontractors’ performance are in compliance with specifications and within schedules and budgets.  
  • Working with Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting, Subcontractors, Engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents 
  • Managing engineering solutions with Subcontractors, and Foremen and  Craft Professionals. 

Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience, Civil and Structural Specialist is disabled.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Coordination and Management experience.
  • Work in Escondida areas or mining experience. Shift Works.
  • Demolition experience  available.
  • Knowledge about Quality and environmental 
  • Minning, Civil, or  Structural rience
  • 15- 20  years in Minnery construction or similar industries.
  • English advance level.
  • In this position will be necessary work with external companies, full internal  an external coordination and proactive.
