Mining and Metals:
Increasing production of critical minerals provides key components of clean energy technologies, from wind turbines to batteries. Job Summary:
In this role, you will work with the project team to prepare schedule data for proposals or contract negotiations. You will apply established unit job hour and pricing data, perform schedule integrations, prepare work logic, identify restraints and potential impacts, develop recovery plans, and evaluate subcontractor schedules for improvements. You will be instrumental in ensuring projects stay on track and on time.
Major Responsibilities:
- Review design scope criteria and quantities. Perform in-depth schedule analysis to identify project schedule impacts and identify and present mitigations for implementation
- Update and maintain the project master schedule. Ensure all project scope and correct logical relationships are reflected in the schedule.
- Establishing milestones for the total project. Review project work activities and logic to ensure the project milestones are not impacted.
- Develop, implement, and maintain resource loading and schedule levelling. Development of bulk commodity release and installation curves, jobhour curves, and percent complete curve. Ensure integration of manpower requirements for each discipline or specialty in alignment with overall project objectives.
- Collect schedule details from all disciplines, identify and resolve any constraints impacting the overall project timeline.
- Develop and issue reports as required by Bechtel management. Compile, summarize, update, and maintain historical schedule data. Monitor and report on the critical path and overall schedule performance of the project. Prepare and present the schedule impact report. Lead the development and review of schedule recovery plans.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (or international equivalent) and 10 years of relevant experience in Project Controls with and Emphasis on planning and scheduling; or 14 years professional experience in lieu of degree.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficiency with PC operating systems, with proficiency in several basics software applications. Role requires advanced Primavera P6 experience (Mandatory requirement).
- Experience in performing, monitoring and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, which include schedule development, control, and analysis, in the field and the home office.
- Ability to develop schedule presentations and deliver them to Bechtel, project, and client management.
- Advanced knowledge of excel to produce well designed graphs, charts, and reports to communicate with key stakeholders.
- Knowledge of supervision, personnel adminsitration, and training of technical and non-technical personnel.
- Skilled in oral and written communication.
- Advanced level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and starup work processes, as performed by Bechtel.
