Project Overview:
Bechtel is building a team to deliver a major programme of heavy civil and rail works in the Dublin area. Our services include supporting our customers by providing integrated programme and construction management services to deliver on their objectives for safe, sustainable, on-time and on-budget delivery of world class infrastructure.
Job Summary:
In this role, you will provide support to a project and potentially the corporate sustainability program. You will support stakeholder engagement, data management, social value, measurement, monitoring, industry performance tracking, reporting, business development, and project execution. Your work will contribute to successful sustainability efforts at Bechtel and for our customers.
Major Responsibilities:
- Provides support to the business unit and/or project sustainability program
- Supports establishing requirements, data management, measurement and/or reporting of environmental and social sustainability
- Follows prescribed methods/means to carry out assignments related to implementation, business development and project execution
- Coordinates with others to monitor and facilitates progress of sustainability programs consistent with strategies, goals, measurements, and reporting standards
- Conduct literature reviews of environmental sustainability and social value aspects for integration
- Tracks and reports on the sustainability performance of industry peers and key customers
- Prepares environmental sustainability communications, including internal messaging, presentations, case studies, and website content
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires a University degree with 2-3 years of experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Some experience of embedding sustainability into projects, preferably infrastructure projects
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good report writing skills
- Knowledge of relevant national and international policies and legislation with regard to sustainability
