Project Overview 

This position is for an aviation project in Ireland. Bechtel will be working in an integrated team with our client to support the delivery of a Capital Investment Plan of circa €2bn within an operating airport environment. 

 

The ideal candidate would be a team player capable of adaptation to an integrated team environment. A driven self-starter, confident, agile, articulate and capable of leading change by example. Collaborative and flexible to meet all the demands of the client. 

 

Role Overview 

The Reporting Manager will deliver timely and reliable reporting data in relation to a number of projects. The role holder will work with the exiting client team to provide direction and guidance. Ennsuring competent and consistent use of standard processes, systems and tools and quality of all reporting deliverables and associated performance analysis.  

 

There will be a focus on continuous improvement and best practice reporting to drive high performance delivery and achieve key success metrics. The role holder will ensure processes are in place, adhered to and continuously improved to ensure that they are practical, embedded and connected to all key stakeholders. 

 

Main Responsibilities 

  • Produce a portfolio of performance reports for projects being delivered. 
  • Contribute to the development, implementation and continuous improvement of project reporting processes, tools and procedures.  
  • Identify risks and issues that should be escalated and support corrective actions. 
  • Providing input to wider project and programme reporting. 
  • Liaising with and challenge delivery teams to ensure that the status of projects and issues are appropriately presented and project information meets required data standards, driving transparency. 
  • Contribute to driving and leading a positive safety. 
  • Contribute to equality of opportunity, social inclusion, fair employment and environmental sustainability, creating open, inclusive and engaging environment. 
  • Provide interface and quality assurance regarding all reporting activities. 

 

Basic & Preferred Experience 

  • 10+ years’ experience in reporting/project controls for high value infrastructure projects, preferably in aviation. 
  • Experience of working in a comparable consultancy environment, or with a client or contractor organization. 
  • Experience in implementing policies and procedures. 
  • Experience of PPM Systems and Tools (in particular, knowledge of Primavera and MS Project) 

 

Skills 

  • Knowledge of reporting principles, methods, techniques and tools, including the use of Primavera. 
  • Good influencing skills to manage and motivate teams. 
  • Ability to coordinate & organize multiple sources of reporting performance data. 
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.  
  • A thorough knowledge of Earned Value, Schedule analysis, and financial performance analysis. 

 

Qualifications 

  • A recognized and relevant university degree. 
  • Relevant Project Management Qualification (e.g. APM Introductory Certificate or Equivalent) desirable. 
  • Membership of a professional organization preferable.
