Project Overview:
Job Summary:
Note: This position is designated for Saudi Nationals.
In this role, you will coordinate Environmental, Safety, and Health (ES&H) training and awareness of a project’s ES&H program. You will work with experts to review course materials and awareness strategies and assist with the processes for content delivery. Your efforts to optimize training and communication will help the ES&H program achieve continuous improvement goals for health and safety on the job.
Major Responsibilities:
- Supports development and coordination of environmental, safety, and health (ESH) processes and actions to enhance ESH program implementation.
- Leads processes for classroom and instructor-led courses, hands-on training (e.g., hazard school), printed media, and other methods to promote knowledge and awareness of all three ESH disciplines.
- Coordinates the Craft-Based Leadership program including training, recordkeeping, and dissemination of observational information and recommendations from craft professionals.
- Applies the ESH Management System to achieve continual improvement, including maintaining a risk register, legal register, stakeholder matrix, and other system elements.
- Identifies ESH stakeholders and tailors training and communication campaigns considering risk assessment, demographics, trades, languages, and other factors.
- Engages an approved third-party vendor when necessary for training materials and translation services.
- Performs data management and prepares reports, presentations, EHS performance assessments, and trend analysis.
- Reviews data from risk assessments, audits, and incidents to identify opportunities to improve training, communication, procedures and processes, and control and mitigation measures.
- Gathers, sorts and enters reporting data
- Prepares and submits reports required by project, corporate and legislative authorities
- Prepares reports required for the analysis and determination of both leading and lagging trends
- Prepares confidential and sensitive reports
- Maintains confidentiality of records as needed
- Acts as the project administrator of corporate ESH software programs like IRIS
- Trains ESH team members in the use of corporate ESH software programs
- Identifies improvements to reporting processes
- Maintains reports and records for easy access and archiving purposes
- Openly communicates with the Project ESH Manager on administrative matters
- Maintains a working relationship with ESH and other administrative team members
- Participates in ESH meetings to identify and action administrative requirements
- Reviews data for completeness of information
Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) related to environmental, safety, health, education, or a science-related discipline and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience. Certificate issued by a recognised organisation for the skill sets of administration in a workplace.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Professional skill set to deliver administrative outputs
- Intermediate level of written and verbal communication
- Attributes that openly display ESH as a personal value
- Ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines, targets and objectives
- 4 years in an ESH team in the industrial construction or heavy engineering industry
- 2 years of experience directly supervising an administrative team
