UPRR/BNSF Railroad Interface Coordinator

Bechtel is seeking a URRR/BNSF Railroad Interface Coordinator for the Texas High Speed Rail Project located in Dallas, TX. This position will begin as a short term assignment and will transition to long term. This individual will be responsible for managing communications and interfaces with various railroad entities to ensure there are no conflicts with existing operations and the proposed alignment. Specific duties include:

 

  • Developing and Managing effective relationships and communications with UPRR and BNSF.
  • Attending meetings with UPRR and BNSF to discuss coordination of design and construction activities.
  • Develop a streamlined process to address concerns or conflict efficiently to adhere to the Project’s construction budget and schedule.
  • Early coordination of issues with Civil and Core Systems teams to mitigate future conflicts.

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or Minimum of 10 years’ experience working in the construction industry and/or large-scale infrastructure projects; or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience
  • Candidate must have the right to work and remain in the US without visa sponsorship from employer

 

Additional Qualifications:

 

  • Demonstrated technical writing, data management, verbal communication, presentation, and teaching skills.
  • Experience working with Union Pacific and BNSF Railway a strong advantage
  • Knowledge and understanding of stakeholder management and railroad coordination.
  • A firm understanding of project construction procedures, principles and concepts;
