Job Summary:

In this role, you will lead a team to provide rigging/heavy haul engineering support to a large project. You will review and approve transport studies, determine equipment requirements, develop strategies for project management, assign work tasks, and monitor progress. Your team will ensure the project has the rigging resources available with the proper qualifications to support the planned work scopes. #LI-BH1

Major Responsibilities:

Rigging/Heavy Haul Supt 

  • Coordinates with Superintendents and the Lead Project Rigging Engineer to validate manpower and rigger/heavy haul qualification requirements.  
  • Reviews weekly scheduled work plans with discipline superintendents to ensure the project has the rigging/heavy haul resources available with the proper qualifications to support the planned work scopes.   
  • Ensures that scheduling concerns and constraints are identified and elevated to the construction management team.  
  • Supervises and coordinates daily with direct hire and subcontract representatives on rigging/heavy haul construction activities.  
  • Possesses responsibility for the safe execution of rigging/heavy haul activities in accordance with applicable SWPPs and legislative codes/standards. 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8 -10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Professional with an understanding of area of specialization, resolves a wide range of issues
  • Project coordination and organizational skills
  • Equipment and fleet management proficiency
  • Data entry and reporting accuracy
  • Knowledge of construction materials, tools, and equipment
  • Safety and quality compliance awareness
  • Ability to interpret and follow procedures and work rules
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities
