Project Overview:

Bechtel India offices are looking for the design engineering professionals to support the design of the semiconductor fabrication (fab) facilities in US region – Ohio and New York. The design engineering shall be supporting the construction of new semiconductor fabs which includes the completion of the Fab/Process Specific Support Systems (PSSSs) and PSSS yards, Boiler Chiller Packages (BCPs), Ultra-Pure Water (UPW), Wastewater Treatment (WWT) building, yards and Site Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) conveyance trestles.

Job Summary:

Bechtel India Office is currently seeking Control Systems LSS & Telecom Revit Designer for the detail design engineering execution of large Semiconductor Manufacturing facilities, Pharmaceutical Ingredient facilities which are part of Manufacturing and Technology Business Group, Oil & Gas Projects especially related to LNG and Refineries. The ideal candidate, in addition to meeting all the Essential Job Duties and Job Knowledge need to be a self-starter and possess strong oral and written communication skills.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing and managing 3D BIM models and drawings for control systems LSS & Telecom scope in EPC projects
  • Responsible for detailed design and drafting of control systems, low-level systems, and telecom infrastructure
  • Development of Control system panel wiring and interconnection wiring diagrams
  • Development of design drawings of Fire & Gas Systems
  • Development of design drawings of CCTV, PA/GA, Access Control systems and Structured Cabling & Network layouts
  • Generate plans, sections, elevations and all necessary details from the model
  • Maintain data integrity in assigning and managing data (materials , quantities…etc) within the model
  • Development of cable routing, instrument placement, panel layouts, and multi-discipline coordination to support efficient project execution
  • Effective collaboration and integration with engineering, electrical, mechanical, and site teams
  • Generate Instrument Location Plans, Telecom, Cable and Conduit layout drawings, Installation details and sections
  • Review of Duct banks, Underground Conduit and Telecom outlet drawings  
  • Extraction of Cable schedule, Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and Material Take-Offs
  • Develop Instrument Hook-Up Drawings using MicroStation and AutoCAD and generation of Hook-Up Sketches using SPI
  • Responsible for LOD 300 and LOD 400 Model Reviews and resolution of tags with Client, Sub-Contractors and Vendors
  • Perform Clash Checks in Model to develop a clash free system design
  • Loading of JB and RIO Cabinets, estimation of Fan-out cable and Home Run Cable Length for FEED estimates

Education and Experience Requirements:

3-year diploma in Electronics & Telecommunications or Instrumentation & Control Systems from an accredited college or university

  • Level 1 : 7-11 years
  • Level 2 : 12-15 years

FEED and EPC Execution experience of Large Manufacturing & Technology, Mining and Metal, Oil & Gas and Infrastructure Projects.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Highly proficient in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, BIM 360 and Bluebeam
  • BIM models (LOD 100-400 depending on stage)
  • Adequate knowledge of E3D, S3D, SPR, MicroStation and SPI (Preferred)
  • Thorough knowledge in P&IDs, Cable Schedule, I/O List and Network Architecture
  • Fire & Gas Layout and interpretation of NFPA 72
  • Remote I/O Design of major DCS Vendors
  • Skill in reading, interpreting, and using related documents and drawings prepared by other project groups
  • Knowledge of the application of engineering and construction materials related to designs
