Bechtel’s scope is to provide full design build, direct hire EPC services comprising project management, engineering, procurement, and construction.

 

Bechtel is seeking a Project IS&T Manager which will report to the Bechtel Project Information Manager (PIM). 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for all IT operations and services for the Bechtel project team on the project, and management of the IT team
  • Work with the Project management team to establish IT requirements to support the execution of the project
  • Establishes strategic operational IT objectives
  • Coordinate IT plans with the Bechtel Project team, Contractors and Client, and establish clear Divisions of Responsibility
  • Coordinate with the PIM Manager, BIM manager and DCC manager
  • Establish relationships with IT vendors
  • Identify and manage IT deliverables
  • Define, Implement and Support the IT infrastructure for the project along with cyber security, data storage and collaboration system requirements
  • Manage any software, workflow or dashboard developments required by the project 
  • Define and implement IS&T Project Procedures and adheres to Corporate and GBU IS&T governance framework,
  • Develop and maintain the Project Automation Plan, Software Portfolio, Level 1 integration diagram and project IT handover and closeout plan
  • Lead, direct and train team members in the IT and Information Systems requirements to support project execution
  • Define and set Project IT goals, schedules, and divisions of responsibility
  • Maintain Project IT budget and associated forecasts
  • IT procurement and asset management
  • Respond to audits as required

 

Skills and Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 13+ years of relevant experience or 19+ years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to change the thinking of—or gain acceptance from—others in sensitive situations, without damage to the relationship
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, coordination skills with project, customer, peer groups (within and outside IS&T), and related stakeholders.
  • Must have a good understanding of the major IT infrastructure systems (Microsoft domains, Cloud VPN, Virtual Servers, Caching File Servers, SDWAN, Teams Voice) and how to plan their implementation
  • Knowledge of the software and integration architecture for Document management, project controls, Autodesk suite, workflows, and dashboards
  • Demonstrated ability to appraise and develop team members
  • Proven record in innovation and work process improvement
  • Experience writing IT scope of work documents for IT systems

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience of mid to large scale EPC/PM/CM projects would be beneficial
