Job Summary:

In this role, you will lead a team and manage project cost estimating, analysis, and control activities. You will identify cost trends for management attention, support project organizational and administrative activities, and ensure work is completed as scheduled. Your data analysis will provide innovative solutions to cost engineering challenges, and your leadership will be essential to project success. #LI-BH1

Major Responsibilities:

  • Manages the cost estimating, analysis, and control activities for a significant area within a project which requires a high degree of technical skilled experience 
  • Identifies cost trends for management attention 
  • Analyzes data to provide innovative solutions to cost engineering challenges 
  • Ensures work is completed as scheduled 
  • Supports project organizational and administrative activities 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13  years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience and demonstrated skill in directing cost engineering functions, including cost estimating, cost control, and cost analysis, in the client offices and the home office.
  • Experience and demonstrated skill in establishing criteria for Project Controls activities.
  • Skilled in providing direction, personnel administration, and training of technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing, and solving problems.
  • Knowledge of current industry and technical developments.
  • Must be able to independently provide guidance, training and coaching to junior and mid-grade Cost Engineers with multiple backgrounds and experience.
  • Must have excellent communications and presentation skills to combine sound analytical cost engineering principles with the ability to summarize, reach appropriate conclusions, and implement cost containment plans.
