Project Overview:

Bechtel’s Manufacturing and Technology (M&T) is an exciting and growing business unit that serves customers in the semiconductor, electric vehicle, and datacenter markets. Job Summary:

In this role, you will manage direct reports and lead interdisciplinary teams to establish construction methods and support activities. You will oversee the construction process, review plans and specifications for costs and constructability, manage corporate processes and procedures, and lead proposal preparation. Your recommendations for studies, lessons learned, project assessments, and new methods will optimize completion of project construction activities. #LI-ME1

Major Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for jobsite operations including onsite activities of Bechtel, subcontractors, suppliers, clients and their representatives and others as may be assigned within area of responsibility.
  • Establishes, coordinates and implements construction schedules, manning charts, and material and equipment requirements.
  • Controls jobsite expenditures in assigned area for labor, equipment, material and services and ensures field operations are within budget.
  • Responsible for overall supervision of personnel in assigned area of responsibility.
  • Maintains relationships with the client and their representatives, as assigned.
  • Ensures that Bechtel and local/national regulatory safety codes, requirements and standards are being complied with in assigned area of responsibility.
  • Actively participates in scheduled safety meetings.
  • Performs general administrative functions inherent in jobsite supervisory positions.
  • Ensures corporate policies and procedures are fully implemented.
  • Provides back-up support to the Field Superintendent and/or Field Construction Manager.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 13-15 years of relevant experience or 17-19 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Area execution leadership: Lead and integrate all field professional staff within the area to deliver safe, coordinated, and efficient construction execution.
  • Cross-discipline work planning: Align civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and piping activities to area priorities, sequencing, and constraints.
  • Schedule & performance ownership: Own area lookaheads, productivity, and critical path impacts; proactively remove constraints and drive recovery actions.
  • Safety, quality & compliance leadership: Set expectations and ensure consistent application of HSE and QA/QC requirements across all disciplines in the area.
  • Stakeholder coordination & decision authority: Act as the primary field interface for superintendents, construction management, engineering, and project controls; escalate and resolve issues decisively.
