Job Summary:

Civil / Structural / Architectural Designer with Diploma / ITI Draftsmanship (in Civil / Mechanical engineering) and 4 to 8 years of relevant experience in a steel detailing office of repute. Should have exposure to design office practices using computer aided drafting and 3D modeling tools. Should be proficient in preparing steel model and drawings required for fabrication and erection using TEKLA. fabrication / erection drawings using TEKLA software.

Major Responsibilities:

• Shall perform modelling of steel members and connections and produce fabrication and erection drawings using TEKLA software.  
• Shall assist in the development of basic layout drawings for civil/structural data or other purposes.
• Shall respond or assist in responding to fabricator’s queries and manage tracking list.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• A diploma or ITI draftsman course in Civil / Mechanical engineering as a minimum.
• Preference will be given to the candidate worked on fabrication and / or erection.
• Specialized courses in steel fabrication shop / yard will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience. 

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Knowledge of detail engineering and deliverables and understanding of the complete detailing work process including all the tools proposed to be used.
• Good skills in oral and written communication.
• Should be proficient in using MS office tools.
• Knowledge of constructability and applicable standards and codes including OSHA.
• Preference will be given to the candidates who are proficient in using other 3D structural modeling software such as S3D, Frameworks, Revit etc. is essential.
