Position Summary

Career opportunity available to a self-motivated, team leader with a track record in the design and construction of utility intensive projects facilities.  This role will require the ability to meet with the client, generate a conceptual plan and lead the design team through the detailed design process. This position has the responsibility to take the concept design, complete and issue a series of quality detailed design packages that is well coordinated with other disciplines and follow the design through the construction process. This role requires the ability to develop both and internal and external relationships.

Responsibilities

The key areas of responsibility comprise of technical experience, consistency, work with established design guides and standards and work processes/tools. 

• Ability to develop conceptual designs that meet the client’s business needs as well as construction best practices.
• Participates and actively engages in relevant professional organizations and conferences.
• Leads the multi-discipline design team through the development of construction packages.
• Works with internal system owners to ensure that facilities are supporting system requirements and performance expectations.
• Provides junior architects mentorship of design and construction activities, covering the full delivery cycle.
• Participates and leads in design and construction reviews.
• Assists with developing proposals and schedules.
• Provides review, approval, and deployment of best practices/lessons learned
• Deploys to projects to lead architectural design and support construction.

Qualifications and Skills

Basic Qualifications

• A bachelors or higher degree in Architecture from an accredited university or equivalent.
• Registered Architect (RA) in the United States.
• Has experience with at least one industrial project from programming through receipt of occupancy permit.
• Has experience with at least one EPC or design build contracted project. 
• Experience with major regulations and industry codes and standards affecting standard design, specification, and quality.
   

Additional Qualifications

• NCARB certified
• Excellent communication and people development skills.
• Extensive relevant experience and adaptability to support technical facilities required in other M&T sectors (Semiconductor manufacturing facilities, Data Centers, Electric Vehicle verticals).
