Job Overview:

This position is for a Mechanical P&ID Drafter to will prepare mechanical drawing supporting project execution and deliverable completion.  The successful candidate must have strong organizational and teamwork skills, proven problem-solving abilities, can-do attitude, and the desire to innovate designs.  This position is contingent upon pending contract award.


Role Overview:

This position will be responsible for developing and updating P&ID's and associated data.  In this position the chosen candidate will work under the direction of more senior Engineers and Project Engineers. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Produce drawings and documentation in accordance with established design and scope.
  • Support preparation of mechanical equipment, valve, and line lists
  • Assure quality of Mechanical deliverables independently
  • Produce drawings and documentation
  • Updates project schedule and monitors work package cost.  Provides input to trends as required.


Basic Qualifications:

  • AA/AS degree in a related field, with 5 years of related design experience. In lieu of degree, 9 years of related experience. Related experience includes, but is not limited to, experience in P&ID development for waste processing, nuclear, refinery, power, or chemical process facilities.
  • Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of industry and regulatory guides, codes, and standards.
  • Hands-on use or extensive working knowledge of using industry wide design/drafting tools, specifically Creo, Navisworks,  and INSPEC.
  • Hands on knowledge of Microsoft office programs.
