Project Overview:
The ML2 Project involves the design and construction of a launch platform for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). The purpose of ML2, located at Kennedy Space Center (KSC), is to provide a launch platform for the Space Launch System (SLS), an advanced launch vehicle that will fill America’s need for deep space missions. ML2 includes many different subsystems that must operate and fit within the constraints of the structure and provide physical interface with KSC launch sites’ ground systems.
Job Summary:
In this role, you will provide document management services, including but not limited to receiving, processing, distributing, retrieving, and maintaining documents and records. You will assemble information to support project activities and assist in resolving issues and questions. Your attention to detail, accuracy, and support will help ensure documents are in the right place at the right time. #LI-KL1
Major Responsibilities:
Level 1
- Provides document and/or records management to include receiving, processing, distributing, retrieving and maintaining documents and/or records in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Performs document/record entry using enterprise content management system (ECMS).
- Monitors and reviews data entry for accuracy by self performing quality checks.
Level 2
- Provides document and/or records management services in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Performs services to include but not limited to receiving, processing, distributing, retrieving and maintaining documents and/or records.
- Performs document/record entry using enterprise content management system (ECMS).
- May assist in the review of data entry accuracy for assigned work by performing daily, weekly, and monthly quality checks.
- Interfaces with internal and external customers in the resolution of questions, issues, or actions.
- Assists project team members with questions or issues related to document numbering, work process, electronic/digital signatures, legibility, etc.
- Assembles information needed to support project activities.
- Updates desktop work instructions, plans, and procedures.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Level 1: Requires 1-2 years of related experience.
- Level 2: Requires 2-4 years of related experience.
- Intermediate to expert proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
- Intermediate to expert proficiency in Database Entry and Filing. A skills test will be required.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience in document control practices and processes.
- Excellent working knowledge of computer applications.
- Function well in a fast-paced environment and deal with pressure in a professional manner.
- Must be proactive, use individual initiative, follow assignments through to completion, be attentive to detail, produce quality products, and adhere to tight deadlines.
- Ability to learn new software applications and train others on software use.
- Possess flexibility, have strong interpersonal skills, and a proven record as a team player.
- Effectively deal with and adjust quickly to changing priorities.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
Preferred
- Prior experience working in a government environment.
- Prior experience working in an engineering, procurement, or construction environment.
- Prior experience with Bechtel’s software.
- Knowledge of Bechtel’s organization structure, functions, policies and procedures, industry and regulatory standards.
- Prior experience working with supplier documents using InfoWorks or Aconex.
