Project Overview:

The ML2 Project is the design and construction of a launch platform for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). The purpose of ML2, located at Kennedy Space Center (KSC), is to provide a launch platform for the Space Launch System (SLS), an advanced launch vehicle that will fill America’s need for deep space missions. ML2 includes many different subsystems that must operate and fit within the constraints of the structure and provide physical interface with KSC launch sites’ ground systems.  

 

Job Summary:

In this role, you will perform administrative duties that support project logistics. You will prepare invoices, perform data entry, and assist with onsite inspections or audits of camps, diners, and vehicles. You will create, distribute, collect, maintain, and track camp or transportation records. Your attention to detail will ensure that project logistics documents, reports, and records are accurate and complete. #LI-CL1

 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Performs data entry as required to maintain Industrial Relations automation tools and reports. 
  • Creates, distributes, collects, maintains, and tracks transportation records. 
  • Assists with onsite inspections or audits of vehicles. 
  • Prepares invoices for review by WFS Representative or Supervisor. 
  • Creates Field Purchase Requisitions and Store Requisition Reports.
  • Use the construction schedule to identify material requirements and potential restraints.
  • Reviews documentation and database entries for accuracy and consistency.
  • Records, scans, and organizes all requests and inspection documents.
  • Performs various data extraction and report generation.
  • Supports the preparation of construction drawings and schedules as needed.

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires 1-2 years of related experience.

 

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Must be physically capable to conduct field inspections and participate in project walkdowns which require the following activities: extensive walking in and around a construction site, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, walking on elevated platforms, walking on uneven surfaces, climbing in very small and/or confined spaces, and lifting up to 40 lbs.
  • Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check, including verification of employment and education. 
  • Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Access, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of basic construction principles.
  • Ability to work independently and be proactive.
  • Two-year college degree, preferred.
