Project Overview:
The rapid growth of AI and digitalization is fueling unprecedented demand for data centers that require large, reliable sources of energy. In response to this market trend, the Renewables & Clean Power (R&CP) team have signed an early works contract to build one of the largest gas fired power generation facilities in the U.S.
This project is of significant scale and complexity, and our team is helping the customer progress early-stage development, that would lead to the start of full EPC delivery this year.
The candidate will locate on a long-term assignment to Cheyenne, Wyoming. This position is contingent upon project award.
Job Summary:
The Mobilization & Onboarding Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the end-to-end onboarding and mobilization of construction personnel, ensuring all project, client, safety, labor, and access requirements are completed prior to site entry. This role is critical to maintaining workforce readiness, compliance, and schedule adherence for large-scale construction projects. #LI-TH1
Major Responsibilities:
Mobilization & Workforce Readiness
- Coordinate mobilization of craft and staff personnel in accordance with project schedules.
- Track and validate completion of pre-mobilization requirements including drug screening, badging, training, medical clearance, and client-specific approvals.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for onboarding status for supervisors, construction management, and project services.
Onboarding & Compliance
- Facilitate new hire and transfer onboarding, ensuring completion of I-9, orientation, site-specific safety training, and project documentation.
- Coordinate site access credentials including badging, gate access, and system permissions.
- Maintain accurate onboarding and mobilization records in approved project systems.
Labor & Policy Coordination
- Work closely with Labor Relations, HR, Safety, and Construction to ensure onboarding meets PLA, union, or open-shop requirements.
- Ensure workforce onboarding activities are aligned with project labor agreements, jurisdictional requirements, and client expectations.
- Support audits or compliance reviews related to workforce mobilization.
Communication & Reporting
- Provide daily or weekly mobilization status reports to project leadership.
- Identify early risks to mobilization timelines and escalate issues proactively.
- Respond to onboarding inquiries from supervisors, craft professionals, and support teams.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience in construction administration, workforce mobilization, onboarding, or project services.
- Strong understanding of construction site access, safety orientation, and workforce compliance requirements.
- Proficiency with workforce tracking systems, spreadsheets, and document control tools.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a high-volume field environment.
