Project Overview:

Bechtel is partnering with NextDecade to achieve their vision to provide the world access to lower carbon intensive energy with their Rio Grande LNG (RGLNG) project in Brownsville, Texas.

RGLNG is a natural gas liquefaction and export terminal situated on a 984-acre site on the banks of the Brownsville ship channel. The first phase of the RGLNG project consists of three liquefaction trains, two storage tanks and one marine berth. At full capacity, the five-train facility will have a production capacity of 27 million tonnes per annum (MTPA).

 

Project Location Overview:

Brownsville, Texas is a city known for its diverse history, tradition, and rich culture. Located in the southernmost region in the beautiful state of Texas, lays Brownsville a rich, tropical oasis bordering the Rio Grande River and near the shores of the Gulf of Mexico. Job Summary:

In this role, you will assist in performing material coordination activities at a jobsite ensuring accurate data input and reporting of material and equipment work package statuses for installation, and with early identification of surplus. You will coordinate with warehouse personnel for materials to be issued directly to the installation area to support timely completion of construction work at the jobsite. #LI-CS1

 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Assists in performing material coordination activities at a jobsite within material discipline of responsibility to ensure the accurate reporting of material and equipment work package statuses for installation 
  • Coordinates with warehouse and laydown yard personnel for materials to be issued direct to the installation area, as opposed to being controlled in storage 

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires 2-4 years of related experience

 

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • With guidance, utilizes the materials components of the project Automation Plan (used by functional groups) to monitor related data transfers between the functional groups.
  • With guidance, verifies that material requisitions implement the project’s component numbering approaches including tagged materials, bulk materials, and spares.
  • Basic knowledge of Procurement and Material Management procedures.
  • Intermediate knowledge of BPS, including types of requisitions and purchase orders, goods and services codes and materials management reports.
  • Basic knowledge of standard applications used by Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Project Controls and Document Control.
  • Intermediate knowledge of standard office productivity tools, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Access, and including simple table, query, report and macro design.
