Project Overview:

Bechtel is partnering with NextDecade to support their vision to provide the world access to lower carbon intensive energy with their Rio Grande LNG (RGLNG) project in Brownsville, Texas.

 

RGLNG is a natural gas liquefaction and export terminal situated on a 984-acre site on the banks of the Brownsville ship channel. The first phase of the RGLNG project consists of three liquefaction trains, two storage tanks and one marine berth. At full capacity, the five-train facility will have a production capacity of 27 million tonnes per annum (MTPA).

Job Summary:

In this role, you will lead construction automation efforts for complex projects, using database management, programming skills, and 3D tools. You will establish and administer the portfolio of construction automation applications on the jobsite and data requirements. You will review performance and recommend adjustments to tailor solutions to support strategy and compliance. #LI-BH1

 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Establishes and administers the suite of Construction applications on the project, includes, but is not limited to TEAMWorks, WITS (Weld and Welder tracking system), Unifier, Completions Module, Preservation and Maintenance Module and Measuring and Test Equipment​ 
  • Implements the construction automation tools in accordance with the project automation plan, designing/developing workflows, forms, and templates for automation tools​ 
  • Coordinates with design engineering, procurement, project controls and other departments to establish automated data transfer between applications​ 
  • Ensures reports are accurate reflections of the data and are functioning as intended​ 
  • Collates performance curves, metrics, trackers, and user feedback to show trends, and use in improvements​ 
  • Reviews output data and prepares construction report types with direction from PFE and SM​ 
  • Provides training and technical support of the suite of Construction Automation applications, to field engineering, supervision, administration, project controls and other site personnel 
  • Coordinate construction requirements with project IT lead/manager to ensure they’re incorporated in the project automation plan 

GBU/Project Const. Automation Lead​ 

  • On small to medium projects, leads in Construction Automation efforts, utilizing knowledge of database management, programming skills, and 3D tools and demonstrates ability to tailor solutions in support of project strategy​ 
  • Responsible for cross-function leadership to coordinate data dependencies and integration 

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of engineering and construction methods and processes customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience
  • Extensive knowledge of TEAMWorks and associated applications is required.
  • Experience with other Bechtel Standard applications, including PTR, SETROUTE, BPS and InfoWorks is desirable.
  • A good understanding of Bechtel standard construction work processes and procedures is desirable.
  • Advanced level capability with MS Excel and Access is required. 
  • Intermediate Level SQL database and reportability platforms is required (SQL,SSRS - SQL Server Reporting Services, PBI).
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving ability
