Project Overview:
Bechtel is partnering with NextDecade to support their vision to provide the world access to lower carbon intensive energy with their Rio Grande LNG (RGLNG) project in Brownsville, Texas. RGLNG is a natural gas liquefaction and export terminal situated on a 984-acre site on the banks of the Brownsville ship channel. The first phase of the RGLNG project consists of three liquefaction trains, two storage tanks and one marine berth. At full capacity, the five-train facility will have a production capacity of 27 million tonnes per annum (MTPA).

Job Summary:
Provides technical expertise and assistance to management personnel to establish training and development program requirements. Develops, coordinates, implements, and administers authorized training and development programs for the facility. Develop training schedules, budget, resources to deliver classroom and On the Job (OJT) training to owner Operation and Maintenance Personnel that support the overall project schedule and contractual obligations. Incorporate supplier provided training into the project training program ensuring full compliance with contract requirements. Reporting directly to the Commissioning & Startup Manager for the project for all project training matters. #LI-SP1
Major Responsibilities:
- Determines, with the assistance of management personnel, the general training and development program requirements to comply with contract requirements.
- Develops, coordinates and implements approved and budgeted training and development programs, including on the job training as well as on-site and off-site courses and programs
- Develops or obtains training manuals and instructional aids and materials as required.
- Conducts or supervises training courses and programs. Arranges for technical assistance as required.
- Administers and monitors all training and development programs to ensure goals are attained, schedules are met, modifications are made as necessary and reporting requirements are observed.
- Ensures that a comprehensive training records system is established and maintained.
- Coordinate the delivery of vendor training relevant to the project training plan.
- Establish and maintain cordial relationships with owner counterparts
- Oversee and monitors the delivery of the training according to regulations and customer's requirements
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent). A recognized degree in engineering or scientific discipline, or specialized courses in operational technology and management, and/or work experience leading to a thorough understanding of the knowledge described above. Requires 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience and demonstrated ability to deliver training courses using classroom techniques and standard or improvised teaching aids
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and present effective oral and written reports.
- Skill in developing, coordinating, implementing, and administering training programs.
- Skill in personnel administration.
- Knowledge and experience in the scope of work inherent in operations and maintenance projects.
- Skill in supervision and administration
