Project Overview:

Bechtel is partnering with NextDecade to support their vision to provide the world access to lower carbon intensive energy with their Rio Grande LNG (RGLNG) project in Brownsville, Texas. RGLNG is a natural gas liquefaction and export terminal situated on a 984-acre site on the banks of the Brownsville ship channel. The first phase of the RGLNG project consists of three liquefaction trains, two storage tanks and one marine berth. At full capacity, the five-train facility will have a production capacity of 27 million tonnes per annum (MTPA).

Job Summary:

Under minimal supervision, performs a variety of administrative field support and/or clerical functions on a project within the assigned department.  May provide guidance to administrative, clerical and field support personnel.  Adheres to company, project and department policies and objectives.  Possesses basic knowledge of the procedures for the assigned department. 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Must work in a confidential manner to ensure confidentiality of project files.  
  • Performs administrative and field support duties and may assist in composing routine correspondence and coordinating activities.  
  • Assists in filing, copying, scanning and faxing documents.
  • Checks quality of own work.
  • May assist in coordinating meeting arrangements and catering services for department functions.  
  • May order project or department supplies and maintain supply cabinet.
  • May publish and distribute department bulletins throughout project office and field.
  • Assists in distribution of incoming and outgoing documents throughout the office, including the field.
  • Keeps abreast of project departmental systems, services relevant to area of responsibility, and project process improvements, procedures, and practices.      
  • May assist in preparing routine or preformatted documents, using standard word processing, spreadsheets, or other project databases, as needed, for field support work activities.
  • Processes a variety of procedural steps in accordance with well-defined procedures and guidelines.
  • May assist in producing logs and reports relevant to assigned area of responsibility.
  • May assist in gathering information for project field supervisor(s), departments and or project field personnel as requested.
  • Assists in maintaining filing system for project files, including other documents such as purchase orders, FMR’s, personnel files or specific files for assigned department.
  • May assist with data entry using project tracking systems for purposes of tracking, issuing and receiving material and or project supplies in the field relevant to assigned area of responsibility.
  • Must be punctual and maintain a dependable level of attendance in accordance to project work rules.
  • Adheres to all safety procedures. 

Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires a University Degree with 1-2 years of experience or 5-6 years of relevant work experience

 

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • Ability to prepare, edit, and manage technical and administrative documentation with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills; ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with construction, engineering, commissioning, and turnover teams.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills with the ability to communicate professionally at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Basic understanding of construction or commissioning workflows, or willingness to learn.
  • Experience arranging travel and meetings (domestic and/or international) and preparing expense reports; Concur experience preferred.
  • Ability to learn new software tools, including CCMS platforms and reporting system
