Project Overview:
After more than 35 years operating as a successful uranium mine, the Ranger Project is entering its rehabilitation stage. Bechtel will be working alongside ERA and major stakeholder Rio Tinto to restore the land to the status of its surrounding World Heritage listed Kakadu National Park. A collaborative project, this project will be developed in consultation with the Mirarr Traditional Owners and will benefit the Jabiru community.

Job Summary:
As a HR Professional, you will interact with Bechtel staff to answer and resolve inquiries on HR policies, ensure alignment and effectiveness of activities, compare with industry trends, and recommend and coordinate process improvements. You will coordinate employee engagement initiatives and drive operational efficiency to achieve desired results.
"This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership”
Major Responsibilities:
- Employee Services
- Employee Data Integrity
- Employee Mobility
- Employment Administration
- Interacts with employees, supervisors, and managers to answer and resolve inquiries/issues on HR policies, benefit, international travel, health, life, disability, retirement, domestic and international payroll, and others
- Coordinates administrative tasks as needed such as data audits, record keeping, reporting, etc.
- Monitors and recommends improvements to existing human resources programs or procedures to ensure desired objectives and/or results are being achieved
- Collects, assembles, and monitors data or information for personnel reports
- Coordinates process improvement opportunities to drive operational efficiencies
- Assists in the coordination and implementation of employee engagement initiatives
- Initiates SAP/EC transactions, employee transactions, and compensation actions as required
- Performs and implements a variety of human resources operations activities in one or several of these areas:
- Monitors collection of data or information for personnel reports
- Supports and assists in the coordination and implementation of employee engagement initiatives
Education and Experience Requirements:
Grade 25
- Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.
Grade 26
- Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of and experience working within the Australian Employment Law context and awareness of legal requirements affecting Human Resources administration.
- Demonstrated experience in effectively conducting research, investigating alternative solutions and providing advice/outlining actions.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in the preparation and presentation of oral and written reports for management.
- Ability to work collaboratively and support a variety of customers and stakeholders across the business.
- Availability to travel to jobsites as needed
