Project Overview:

Bechtel is seeking to work with a major project to provide design and construction services for a mega infrastructure project. This position will start as an assignment in our proposal team and eventually will transition to the job site for the execution of the project.

Job Summary:

As a Project Risk Management professional at Bechtel, you will provide expert execution capabilities of project risk management activities. You will provide oversight, training and mentoring of project risk specialists and risk analysts toward project and corporate objectives. You will collate risk intelligence and associated best practices to distribute throughout the Bechtel enterprise. 

 

This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership

Major Responsibilities:

  • Embed and Implement project risk management (PRM) program across the Project
  • Responsible for review, collection and all the risk activities necessary to ensure alignment with the risk management plan.
  • Facilitating regular risk meetings, sessions, and workshops across the project.
  • Maintain accuracy / currency of risk information within Risk Tools/Systems
  • Responsible to review, develop, and maintain comprehensive risk and opportunity registers
  • Establish and maintain robust risk reporting and communication mechanisms
  • Implement staff training and engagement strategies to enhance risk awareness and foster a strong risk and opportunity management culture throughout the organisation.
  •  Participate in project reviews, senior management reporting, ensuring the integration of activities across multiple major project operations for cohesive and effective project outcomes.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10  years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience​

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills with ability to lead a multinational, multi-dimensional organization
  • Experience with the holistic approach of risk management on Portfolio and/or Program level.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard software for risk management/analysis programs such as SAFRAN and ARM
