Project Overview:

Bechtel Mining and Metals offers engineering, procurement, and construction services for customers in the mining sector across multiple commodities including Iron Ore, Bauxite, Alumina, Aluminium, Copper, Gold, Coal, Lithium and Rare Earths markets.

Headquartered in Santiago, Chile, the M&M global business unit also has offices in Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide in Australia along with execution units in the United States, Peru, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, India and other project locations around the world.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will coordinate end to end mobilisation and site access of project personnel including direct employees and a subcontractor workforce.

This position plays a critical role in ensuring personnel are mobilised safely, compliantly and on time through the effective use of recruitment, mobilisation, site access, accommodation and travel systems. The Mobilisation Coordinator will work closely with subcontractor representatives, internal project teams and client stakeholders, requiring strong organisational capability, attention to detail and a solutions‑focused mindset.

The role suits a proactive, process‑driven team player who is comfortable operating in a fast‑paced project environment and resolving mobilisation issues as they arise.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the end‑to‑end mobilisation of project personnel using project mobilisation and site access systems.
  • Ensure all personnel meet project, client and site access requirements prior to mobilisation, including documentation, online training and system approvals.
  • Liaise closely with subcontractor representatives to manage and track the mobilisation of their personnel in accordance with project schedules and requirements.
  • Interface with client representatives to support site access approvals, compliance queries and mobilisation issue resolution.
  • Book accommodation for project personnel using approved client logistics systems.
  • Monitor mobilisation progress, identify issues or gaps, and proactively resolve problems to avoid impacts to project schedules.
  • Maintain accurate mobilisation records and reporting to support compliance, audit and workforce forecast requirements.
  • Duties require accuracy, judgment, a high degree of initiative, discretion, and knowledge of process
  • Ensure all personnel receive their accommodation and any associated travel information in a timely manner and ahead of their intended travel date.
  • Proactively engaging with stakeholders regarding all matters relating to travel and accommodation arrangements.
  • Asist and support other functions and other Bechtel Projects as required.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires a minimum of 2 years of related experience​.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Previous experience with recruitment / mobilisation or HRIS systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office software.
  • A collaborative team player who enjoys supporting other team members to be successful
  • Ability to liaise and build rapport with all levels of a project team including strong client relationships
