Project Overview:
This is an exciting time. Currently, and over the coming months and years, our customers are committing to building new projects which provides a great opportunity to welcome new talent to the Bechtel family.
Job Summary:
Working in Infrastructure Support your primary responsibility is to provide frontline deskside, local network and general IS&T operations support. Being based in Brisbane, you will be the first point of contact and support for IS&T (Information Systems and Technology).
Reporting to the Brisbane Infrastructure Lead you will work with the wider Brisbane IS&T team and your global peers to ensure that office communications, IT infrastructure and application systems are implemented in line with Bechtel standards.
You will have opportunities for growth and exposure to different technical disciplines through collaboration with the global IS&T organisation. As the successful candidate you will gain a great understanding of how a large global company operates and the key role IS&T has in successful business and project delivery.
Major Responsibilities:
- Responds to customer needs, questions and concerns and expedites actions in an accurate, effective and timely manner.
- Maintains, Diagnoses and resolves local IT Infrastructure, hardware & software related issues, while seeking to continuously improve incident resolution and customer service standards. Areas of support will include desktop/laptop computer hardware, mobile devices peripherals, networking, video conference, office printing equipment.
- Installs and maintains software from an approved suite of company standards.
- Deploys and provides end user hardware and IT services.
- Learns and follows standard operating procedures for end user IT requests, incident support and asset management practices.
- Participates in the rollout of new technologies, services and security remediations.
- Assists in the IS&T equipment procurement process.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Preferably tertiary qualified and with 1-2 years of IT experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Eager to learn a broad array of general IS&T skills related to hardware and software.
- Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
- Builds productive and collaborative working relationships with local teams and global peers.
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Windows 10/11 operating systems and Microsoft 365 products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.).
Working Rights in Australia without employer sponsorship are required.
