Job Summary:

This position will support a variety of infrastucture projects in various locations with in Australia. As an HR Lead, you will interact with employees, supervisors, managers to answer and resolve inquiries and issues on HR policies. You will monitor the progress of existing human resource programs, and your work will assist with process improvement and drive HR operational efficiency at Bechtel.

This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership

Major Responsibilities:

  • Performs a variety of human resources operations activities in one or several of these areas:
  • Support annual corporate programs and training requirements as required.
  • Oversees project systems such as SmartStaff and ensures that release and other employee relevant dates are in alignment with project and customer requirements including short term assignment tracking.
  • Interacts with employees, supervisors, and managers to answer and resolve their inquiries/issues on HR policies and other employee services, as required.
  • Coordinates data audits, record keeping, reporting, etc.
  • Coordinate HR-related training, communications, and resources for managers and employees to promote compliance and enhance engagement.
  • Promoting employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Assists in process improvement opportunities to drive operational efficiencies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Recognizes and demonstrates the vital role of customer service
  • Experience with Bechtel HR systems and tools such as Smart Staff, SAP, Talent Works, etc.
  • Significant experience in the Microsoft Suite of programs such as Excel, Word, and Outlook, etc.
  • Ability to work independently, problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and privacy of employee information
  • Experience on a Bechtel project is preferred
