Project Overview:
Australia is an important part of Bechtel’s history and future.
For more than 70 years, Bechtel has delivered projects in every Australian state and territory across a portfolio spanning mines, minerals processing facilities, LNG installations, refineries, chemical plants, power stations, procurement services, and telecommunications infrastructure. These projects have taken place in urban, rural and remote areas and many have been Australian or industry firsts in relation to size, scale, quality, and impact.
Job Summary:
As Global Mobility Specialist, you will serve as an HR interface and focal point for employees who are relocating on domestic or international assignments.
You will assist with assignment documentation, provide policy counselling, and coordinate relocation services with different vendors.
Your role a primary point of contact for relocating employees will help Bechtel mobilize top talent worldwide.
This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor in consultation with function or project leadership.
Major Responsibilities:
- Serves as the primary point of contact for employees who are relocating international or national assignments
- Coordinates service providers for household effects shipments, pre-assignment medicals, immigration, tax services and destination services
- Collects and conducts preliminary review of individual documents required for immigration processing
- Prepares corporate documents required for immigration processing
- Prepares and explains assignment and employment documents, including offer letters, recitals and assignment compensation calculations, in accordance with policies and approved assignment conditions
- Manages receipt of applicable documents, submittals, and monitoring of processes to gain assignment mobilization clearance
- Continuously updates mobility management software throughout the assignment process, for tracking and status updates as required
- Other responsibilities as designated.

Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor Level Degree in Human Resources, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and 3-5 years relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of MS applications, e.g., Word, Excel, Teams
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage high volume workload, with focus on data integrity
- Good communication and customer service skills.
Working Rights in Australia without employer sponsorship are required.
