Project Overview:

Bechtel is a global provider of engineering, construction, and project management services with a reputation for excellence and innovative project delivery. An opportunity exists within the Bechtel project team to work closely with our customer on a key Bechtel project in Serbia. This project will be one of the largest greenfield projects ever built in Serbia.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting implementation of project specific cost control and reporting procedures. You will prepare and monitor budgets for specific scope packages and develop and implement project requirements for cost control. Your analysis will provide innovative solutions to cost engineering challenges.

Major Responsibilities:

• Performs routine cost estimating, analysis, and control activities, as directed
• Supports the implementation of cost monitoring and control standards, techniques, systems, and reports
• Assists with budget allocation and reporting/cost control for specific construction discipline or group of disciplines
• Prepares cost data for proposals or contracts
• Coordinates the development and accuracy of cost reports
• Verifies consistency with previous reports to ensure compatibility and consistency
• Prepares specific budgets in accordance with prescribed standards and procedures
• Investigates the requirements for estimating and/or cost control data
• Collects and classifies cost data
• Performs budget allocation and reporting/cost control regime for specific construction discipline or group of disciplines
• Prepares cost studies using historical data, statistical analysis, and cost and quantity comparison

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing cost engineering functions, which include cost estimating, cost control, and cost analysis, in the field and the home office.
• Basic knowledge in Procurement and Contracts processes particularly on Digital Supply Chain System (DSCS).
• Skilled in oral and written communications, including presentation skills and ability to address the project management team.
• Intermediate knowledge of Excel – such as lookups, pivot tables, complex graphs.
• Knowledge of BETK – Bechtel’s internal estimating software – and how to conform the estimate details into budgets for packages
