OVERVIEW:

The Kazakhstan M&BD Associate (BDA) will be based in Bechtel’s Atyrau office and will be responsible for:

  • Providing assistance to business development managers in developing prospect win strategies, preparation of proposals and presentations to customers.
  • Coordinating with the proposal group to ensure timely submittal of quality deliverables. 
  • Conducting research on the Kazakhstan opportunities, competitors and supply chain to support overall strategy development/refinement.
  • BDA is also responsible for maintaining various reports and tracking systems to capture key information about the businesses pursuits.
  • Supports the businesses marketing needs through the coordination of conferences and development of marketing materials. 

 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists in the preparation and monitoring of proposal efforts including:
  • Drafting of bid or no bid decision documents
  • Assisting with Win Plan development
  • Coordination with proposals group
  • Monitoring of proposal schedule and ensuring timely completion of deliverables to support proposal deadlines
  • Assists in the development of proposal material
  • Assists the BD Manager with initial drafting of management approval letters and coordinated input of same.
  • Maintains records of prospects, client and competitor information in the prospect database.
  • Coordinate with and support BD managers to ensure prospects are up-to-date and relevant.
  • Manage client and competitor account information.
  • Produce reports from prospect database as needed.
  • Participate in proposal, estimate, and project reviews of the commercial/business matters in policy letters and related policy approval requests prior to submission to business unit and/or Corporate management.
  • Assists BD managers with customer presentations and participates in customer meetings as needed.
  • Assists with conference coordination and development of marketing material.
  • Assists with overall strategy development/refinement and market research.

     

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB KNOWLEDGE:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • High standard of written and spoken English language
  • Possess experience of the oil and gas industry in Kazakhstan through project execution or operator experience

     

CORE SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • High standard of work ethics, self-starter
  • Skill in computer software applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Power Point, Microsoft Outlook.)
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, plan and direct resources to meet critical bidding dates
