Job Summary:

Bechtel India Offices is currently seeking Project Engineers for Large Infrastructure Projects especially related to Battery Manufacturing & Semiconductor facility. The ideal candidate, in addition to meeting all the Essential Job Duties and Job Knowledge need to be a self-starter and possess strong oral and written communication skills.

Major Responsibilities:

• Has full technical responsibility for planning, interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating the engineering assignments and activities on the project in liaison with the India Office PEM.Establish / manage the engineering budget, quantity, quality, and cost and maintains ownership, and ensures execution within approved budgets for assigned units/facilities.
• Complete ownership in managing the statutory and company specific design reviews i.e., 3D ModelReviews, HAZOP, LOPA, etc.
• Ensures that requisite supporting documentation is completed on schedule and open issues are resolved with client.
• Establishes / manages and reviews the engineering project schedule for assigned units/facilities.Ensures the facilities are designed in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner in accordance with policies and all applicable laws, regulations, authorization basis, codes, standards, and technical requirements.
• Provides oversight management of technical documentation to procurement, construction, and third parties for assigned units/facilities.
• Co-ordinates technical and commercial reviews on engineering outputs from the project / program, reviews contract documentation.
• Undertakes design co-ordination meetings with construction at various phases including implementation of Design for Safe Construction Procedure for assigned units/facilities.
• Instigates and reviews TIC reduction opportunities / proposals.Ensures that statutory and company specific design reviews are undertaken and are in accordance with QA procedures in place at the time.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• A recognized bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university with over 20 years of working experience and at least 5 years as Project Engineer.
• Experience in executing Large Infrastructure Projects like Technological Buildings, Rail & Aviation Projects, Datacenters.
• Experience in Oil & Gas Projects including Petrochemicals and LNG facilities (Liquefaction/Regassification Unit).

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Working knowledge of industry / regulatory standards and design criteria within the engineering disciplines
• Strong working knowledge of project control systems, estimating procedures, procurement systems/procedures
• Working knowledge of construction practices and procedures.
• Ability to develop innovative ideas to reduce project total installed costs (TIC).
• Ability to present technical design issues to customers and suppliers and the ability to recommend solutions based on knowledge and experience
• Understands BSAPS and uses tools for digital data delivery.
• Proficient execution planning, resource allocation skills
