Job Summary:

The Application Specialist – 3D CAD (CSA) provides technical and automation support for Civil, Structural modeling using Tekla Structures and Hexagon Smart 3D (S3D). The role ensures accurate model setup, configuration, quality control, integration, and efficient delivery of CSA digital deliverables in alignment with project execution plans and digital delivery standards.

Major Responsibilities:

• Provide project-level support for CSA modeling using Tekla Structures and Smart 3D (S3D), including model setup, configuration, and standards alignment
•  Support execution of the Project Automation and Digital Delivery Plan for CSA scope
• Configure and manage Tekla and S3D model environments, reference data, templates, and project-specific settings
• Should have strong API programming skills and contribute to advanced automation and innovation initiatives.
• Support and coordinate CSA model integration with other disciplines (Piping, Mechanical, Electrical, and Construction)
• Test, validate, and support software releases, upgrades, and hotfixes related to Tekla and S3D
• Customize Tekla and S3D workflows, reports, drawings, and automation tools to meet project requirements
•  Support issue resolution, troubleshooting, and user queries related to Tekla and S3DSupport model close-out, data handover, and archival activities

Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer or related science from a four-year accredited college or university and 10+ years’ experience; or in lieu of degree, 14+ years of progressive experience in relevant industry

Required Knowledge and Skills:

•  Proven experience working with Tekla Structures and/or Hexagon Smart 3D (S3D) for CSA modeling
• Strong understanding of CSA engineering workflows, detailing, and constructability principles
• Experience with model-based quality control, drawing extraction, and reporting.
• Ability to interpret engineering specifications, standards, and IFCs
• Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with Microsoft .NET, Microsoft SQL server setup/administration, and Client/Server architecture of Windows
