Job Summary:
In this role, you will lead construction automation efforts for complex projects, using database management, programming skills, and 3D tools. You will establish and administer the portfolio of construction automation applications on the jobsite and data requirements. You will review performance and recommend adjustments to tailor solutions to support strategy and compliance. #LI-SM2
Major Responsibilities:
Productivity Specialist
- Acts as team advisor and program expert in the coordination of the CWE Team in relation to their day-to-day activities and initiatives related to data collection, storage, analysis, and reporting.
- Assists in the strategic planning, business alignment, and management of all CWE programs and initiatives
- Coordinates the implementation and review of short & long-term program objectives, goals, and plans regarding data collection, storage, analysis, and reporting
- Analyzes metrics reporting and project/program feedback in accordance with established organizational standards
- Assists in recruiting, training, and certifying project Site CWE Specialists for all data analytic activities
- Represents Bechtel on Construction Industry Institute research teams
Leadership Specialist
- Owns and develops program that address the development needs of Field Leaders (Foremen, General Foremen, Superintendents, & Field Engineers) on project
- Acts as team advisor and expert in the coordination of the CWE Team in their day-to-day activities and all initiatives related to leadership development programs
- Assists in the strategic planning, business alignment, and management of all CWE programs and initiatives
- Coordinates the implementation and review of short & long-term program objectives, goals, and plans regarding leadership development
- Assists in recruiting, training, and certifying project Site CWE Specialists for all leadership development activities
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in semiconductor, EV battery, data centers, or Pharmaceuticals preferred
- Hands-on implementation of AWP and OSM strategies; experience with project setup, system turnover, and completion preferred
- Proficiency with digital execution tools, 4D/5D planning, and analytics preferred
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Owns AWP implementation and results—deep knowledge of CWA/IWP methodology, roles, and maturity gates; accountable for predictable, constraint-free work execution.
- Integrates engineering, procurement, and construction—drives model, data, and document readiness to produce high-quality IWPs aligned to the construction sequence.
- Leads planning discipline—establishes look-ahead planning, constraint management, and workface planning routines; enforces standard work across areas.
- Drives adoption and capability—coaches superintendents, planners, and field teams; embeds AWP into daily behaviors, not just tools.
- Measures and improves performance—tracks constraint trends, and IWP health; uses data to surface root causes and improve productivity.
