Bechtel is constructing one of the largest, most complex design and construction projects ever undertaken in Tennessee: the modern Uranium Processing Facility (UPF). Constructed for our customer, the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) at the Y-12 National Security Complex, UPF will produce highly enriched uranium (HEU) to ensure the long-term viability, safety, and security of enriched capabilities in the United States.
