Project Overview:

Bechtel is seeking to work with a major Indian corporation to provide Project Management Consultant (PMC) Services and Engineering Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) Services for offsites and utilities (OSBL) for a multi-billion-dollar upgrade / expansion of their existing petrochemical facilities in India. The PMC Services will be led out of India with personnel deployed in Mumbai region, the project sites in India, as well as several key contractor locations across India. The EPCM Services for OSBL will be led out of Bechtel’s India offices.

 

Role Overview:

  • Participates with designated project implementation teams and personnel to determine and develop project automation requirements and objectives.
  • Completion of Digital Supply Chain System Project Setup (Project Initiatives, Approvals workflows, Shipping and Inventory Destinations etc.). 
  • Create project members Digital Supply Chain System access. 
  • Participates in software demonstrations and presentations as required by the Global Business Unit or Project. 
  • Initiates requests for resolution of both hardware and software problems encountered during implementation and operations of the Digital Supply Chain System (DSCS) application suite and associated systems. 
  • Generates and maintains Project Procurement Metrics and Performance data.

Supervision Received

  • Reports to and receives operational and functional supervision and direction from the Project DSCS Operations Manager and Supply Chain Manager
  • Receives functional guidance from the Energy DSCS Implementation Manager.

  • Assigns, coordinates, monitors work and provides training to DSCS Specialist

 

Contacts

  • Maintains active contact with the applications user community.
  • Coordinates support and technical issues with the Supply Chain Systems Manager, and where necessary with the Corporate Supply Chains Systems group.
  • Maintains contact with non-Bechtel 3rd party software / application vendors or sponsors as dictated by project requirements. Coordinates usage of said applications where interfacing with Supply Chain Systems applications.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Supervises implementation teams and project assigned automation personnel on small to medium size projects with moderate complexity.
  • Participates with designated project implementation teams and personnel to determine and develop project automation requirements and objectives. 
  • May participate in the formulation of new work proposals, including the provision of detailed written scenarios, software demonstrations and oral presentations.
  • Configures Supply Chain Systems software components, performs testing and provides ongoing technical support.
  • Supports business unit and project personnel in the use of Supply Chain Systems applications.
  • Initiates requests for resolution of software application issues encountered during implementation and operations of Supply Chain Systems applications.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent, in Supply Chain, Computing Science or business systems related fields is preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years experience in supporting supply chain automation systems and has been assigned to a supply chain role such as purchasing, expediting, logistics, materials management or field procurement operations for an additional 4 years.

 

Minimim Qualifications:

  • Advanced knowledge and experience of enterprise-wide data processing operations
  • Advanced knowledge of standard office productivity tools, including Microsoft Word, Power BI, Excel and Access, and including simple table, query, report and macro design.
  • Experience with software installation procedures and networked infrastructure concepts
  • Experience and/or knowledge and training in personnel administration activities, such as interviewing, performance reviews, salary planning and career counseling.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of and experience with Oracle E-Business Suite of Applications, Oracle Agile and Oracle Primavera Unifier
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain processes, including knowledge of common Engineering, Project Controls, Finance and Construction work methods that depend upon Supply Chain System information.
  • Experience in major global, direct hire and contract management projects, which include engineering, procurement, and materials management activities.
