Job Summary:

Electrical Engineer with experience in basic, detailed design of Sub-station design activities for high voltage outdoor/indoor sub-stations/Switchyards up to 400 kV. Shall bring to bear profound knowledge of the equipment, physical design, and System and Protection design. Candidate should have exposure to Indian, US, Euro and other foreign codes/standards and local practices.

Major Responsibilities:

• Preparation of Single Line diagram.
• Equipment selection for Outdoor/Indoor AC Substation/Switchyard.
• Steady state and dynamic network design studies.
• Protection design which includes Protection and Metering drawings and Protection settings.
• Grounding and Lightning protection design.
• Cable management.
• Schematics Preparation. 
• Station service AC and DC system design.
• Coordination with Construction and start-up/commissioning team.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• A recognized bachelor’s/master’s degree in electrical engineering, from an accredited college or university with an overall experience of minimum 15 years.
• Site experience will be an added advantage.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• In-depth knowledge of the design for high voltage sub-stations up to 400 kV.
• Experience in Network studies; development of network structures, and relevant studies.
• Understanding of Physical design which includes Layouts and Erection Key Diagram.
• Experience in steady state and dynamic network design studies, network structure development, planning of Control & Protection systems for Electrical power systems.
• Well versed with relevant international codes for Sub-station design.
